Zine 1. Is a multimedia project consisting of a series of 9 prints, a 9-episode podcast, and a 23:11 minute film enmeshing my photographs, writing, and audio recordings.

Hanna: It was a very intense process making Zine 1., constantly listening to my voice talking about the most embarrassing things. In the end, I felt like I was going insane but for some reason I felt like I needed to put it out into the world.

Isa: I am only able to experience my own thoughts, but I had never heard something that replicated the things that I am never sharing, and no one is ever gonna see like this. It made me feel not so alone, like I’m allowed to be chaotic in this way.

Hanna: Yes! I had to constantly tell myself that these thoughts are okay to share. I didn’t even realize I was hiding them. It had never even occurred to me to say them out loud before.
